I am drawn to how my personal history interacts with collective memory, and how the stories that define my individual experience merge with the broader, shared experiences of a community and culture. These histories don’t exist in isolation; they are constantly reshaped by time and by the moments we live through together. In my work, I explore how memory is carried forward, evolving from the personal into the collective, and how both are transformed in the present.
Working with silkscreen printing, I create pigments from plants, seeds, and other natural materials, embedding their scent, texture, and history into each layer. These pigments hold not only color but also the fragrance and resonance of a moment, allowing memory to be experienced beyond the visual. The layers in my prints symbolize the process of remembering — where personal and collective memories overlap, interact, and sometimes dissolve into one another — ultimately forming a new, redefined narrative.
