About
What will I be bringing to life today? This is the first question on my mind every morning. Blank papers and ink sitting idly on tables pull me to my studio all the time. It is a very powerful urge, and it has me sitting for many hours in the studio every day with renewed passion. I live through so many feelings when I am creating art, and whatever they are, they come to life in a private world I can always escape to. My studio seems quiet to anyone who comes in, but to me it is the most exciting place: I meet myself there in a hundred different ways. I express myself through various drawing and silkscreen printing techniques. My goal is to impart through them the story of people, their emotions, the psychological suffering we all experience, and the search for a truth which is always out of our grasp. I see these stories in people all the time, and to capture this I do not always have to depict the full person: Many times just their hands or faces convey something to me on their own. I accept that I am only a documenter of the deeper things I witness in people. The most exciting part of the process is seeing how they react to my art, because there is no way to predict what feelings can be conveyed to people and what they will feel in response. Above all, my art is an expression of empathy, curiosity, and a willingness to see the world and other people with new eyes.
